Taxes The need for North Carolina to continue to use its tax revenue wisely continues. In Western North Carolina the best use is to build our infrastructure so that we can offer and recruit the types of businesses that we need to respond to the devastating financial hardships that too many of our families have borne with the collapse of the textile industry. It is important that when we talk about our public programs and our taxes that we have a system that ensures accountability. Senator Snow supports performance audits of state agencies that will ensure that taxpayers are getting the best service for their tax dollars and that their money is not being spent wastefully. Senator Snow voted to cut the state sales tax and taxes on almost
30,000 small businesses and voted to provide a tax credit to
help small businesses afford to provide better health insurance
for their employees.
